2018 Spring League Week 3

Mr. Rogers Neighborhood We’ve received more rain on the field over the last 2 weeks than we did over the previous 12 months combined. That being said, we’ll get the teams in this week that didn’t get to play week 1, with the lightning, then we’ll get back to our regularly scheduled program with all 16 teams playing after that. -Rain is currently expected during the week and possibly on game day, but we’ll play regardless of field conditions this week,since we only have 3 games to play. -This will now delay start of the Summer League by 2 weeks. -Spring has always been notoriously hard to get teams in, 16 teams is the most ever since I’ve observed going back to 1983. 6 A-class teams is the most ever in any league, with 2 other B-class teams (Bull Gerbil, Wild Dogs) that are likely candidates to move into A-class in the future, depending on their Spring results. Bull Gerbil is 2-0, winning 46-7 combined. Wild Dogs made their JFFL debut 36-0 and lead 12-0 over the Jokers in their 2nd game, before the vets rallied to win in the end. -Looking forward to that Bull Gerbil/Wild Dogs game in 2 weeks along with the Young Gunz/PWO and Prime Time/Team Elite match-ups…all appear to be the top 6 teams in the JFFL so far…the Relenteless/Real Deal game may vault the winner up to elite team status. -Terror Squad may have wrapped up Delta with their 2-0 Delta start, but we’ll see how week 6 plays out in a … Continue reading 2018 Spring League Week 3
